Toy Story 2, PHP3

Chris's plan to see Toy Story 2 finally worked out last night. She, Lisa, Josh, and I met Fred and Matt at Cosmic Comics, had dinner at Boston Market, and then saw the movie. (Matt went home after the comics; Fred left after dinner.)

It's a rare sequel that equals its predecessor; Toy Story 2 exceeds it. All of the cleverness and charm and humor of the original, without violating its internal conceits as the original does. The villains have better motivations, too. And the human beings look much less plasticy than they did in the first one -- Al (the human villain) is positively eerie. They did a good job on the skin textures.

I've worked out most of the PHP scripts that I need to run this site. As you can tell, I've updated the Natter section. I expect I'll get to the rest next week. This'll make it much easier to update pages. When I'm done writing this, I can just FTP it to the server, and all the indexing will get taken care of automatically.

I'm off from work tomorrow, but still don't have any firm plans for New Year's Eve. I may go see the "Sensation" show at the Brooklyn Museum; it only runs through Jan. 9th.
